Helicopter Spins Wildly into Palm Trees at Frequented California Shoreline
A chopper soaring near a popular California coastline suddenly started spinning wildly, eventually descending rapidly and smashing into a line of palm fronds as beachgoers watched.
Footage uploaded online capture the chopper beginning to twirl over Huntington Beach then plunging in the direction of the edge of the coast, where it gets stuck amidst palm trees and a set of stairs near the Pacific Coast highway.
First Aid Details
Local firefighters said five persons were rushed to the hospital comprising two individuals who were in the aircraft and were “rescued from the debris” subsequent to the crash on Saturday.
Three individuals on the street were hurt. Information on their injuries were not yet released.
The cause of the crash was not immediately released.

The department indicated the aircraft was linked to an annual “Cars and Copters” benefit occasion scheduled for the following day.
